Decadent Cheese Sandwich

This cheese sandwich turned out super yummy!  Here is what you'll need to make it:

Ingredients:

1. French Bread
2. Firmer Mozzarella that can be sliced
3. Pesto Sauce
4. Shredded Parmesan Cheese
5. Spinach
6. Avocado
7. Lemon juice
8. Spreadable Butter
9. Salt
10. Pepper

Instructions:

Cook on low heat.  Here is how I stacked my sandwich:  I started by putting butter on the outside of one piece of bread.  Then I spread a layer of pesto on the side that goes face up in the pan.  Then I squeezed a quarter of a fresh lemon and added a pinch of salt and pepper.  Then I added a layer of mozzarella cheese. Next I added the spinach.  Then I took the second piece of bread and spread avocado on one side and butter on the other and then placed the avocado side down.  Cook the bread until golden brown and crispy and flip it over and repeat to the other side of the sandwich.  Then sprinkle the parmesan on the top.  Then eat and enjoy!

This turned out super yummy!  What do y'all think?!

Impossible To Mess Up Salmon

Hi everyone!  Today I am going to share with you another Christensen family favorite!  My dad picked up this simple recipe from a former restaurant owner.  It is so yummy!  I don't even like fish, and I love this!

Ingredients

1. Salmon fillet with skin
2.  five lemons (2 for prep and 3 for the eating part)
3. Molly McButter
4. Lemon Pepper
5. Dill Seed

Directions:

Lay out two layers of tin foil layered on one another.  lay your fish skin side down on the tin foil.  Then squeeze 1/2 a lemon over the fish.  Next sprinkle Molly McButter, Lemon Pepper and Dill Seed liberally all over the fish.  Then squeeze another half lemon over the top, so that it looks like this:

Next Grill the fish on Medium-High heat until you can cut through the flesh with a spatula like this:

When you put the fish on the serving plate you leave the skin that is stuck to the tin foil.  Then you serve with Dill Sauce and Lemon.  Here's one more view of my Impossible To Mess Up Salmon:

This is so yummy!  It is so easy and it is great every time!

Campus Book Rentals

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to let y'all know about Campus Book Rentals!   I graduated from college a couple of years ago, but I remember how expensive buying text books can be!  How does Campus Book Rentals work you ask?  Well here's a great video that answers that question!

Here are a few reasons that renting your text books would be a great alternative:

1. You can save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
2. Free Shipping both ways
3. You can Highlight in the textbooks
4. Flexible Renting Periods
5. A donation to Operation Smile is given for each text book rented!

There is also a cool new program called Rent back that allows you to rent out your book to other students and make 2-4x back on your text book!  Here's a video about it:

Go and check out their website: http://www.campusbookrentals.com/ and save a bunch of money, and donate to a great cause all at the same time!

How To Decoupage Furniture

Hi everyone!  I'm super excited about this project!  It is probably my favorite thing that I have ever made!  (Pretty intense statement huh?!) Anyway Do you remember when I shared my before and after pictures of this awesome side table pre-decoupage job?  Here's the pic:

I loved how this table turned out, but when I saw a punch that was the exact shape of my side table I couldn't just leave well enough alone.  What kind of crafter would I be if I did that right?!  To begin this project you'll need these things:

Then I punched out a million of this honeycomb shape out of cute paper that matched my side table and started decoupaging:

After I finished decoupaging I let my side table dry.  Then I grabbed these supplies:

Then I just put on a thin coat of polyurethane and let it dry and voila!  A super cute durable honeycomb decoupaged table!  Here is a close up:

Here is one more shot of my table:

What do you think?  It was a pretty fast project because I had already painted it :)  I love how it turned out! I kind of want to steal it back from my sister. What do you think?
