Old Fashioned Apple Cake

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you my dad's very favorite dessert in the whole world!  My adopted grandma made it for us, and after that he was in love :)  Here's what you'll need to make this yummy Old Fashioned Apple Cake:

Ingredients

1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
4 apples peeled and grated
1 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup nuts

Directions

Put into an 8x8 greased pan and bake about 45 minutes at 350*.  Serve warm and topped with ice cream.

Here's one more view of this super yummy old fashioned apple cake:

This is super yummy!  And we usually pare it with some vanilla ice cream, but you could get creative with your ice cream choice if you wish :)  Happy eating!
