How To Decoupage Furniture


Hi everyone!  I'm super excited about this project!  It is probably my favorite thing that I have ever made!  (Pretty intense statement huh?!) Anyway Do you remember when I shared my before and after pictures of this awesome side table pre-decoupage job?  Here's the pic:


I loved how this table turned out, but when I saw a punch that was the exact shape of my side table I couldn't just leave well enough alone.  What kind of crafter would I be if I did that right?!  To begin this project you'll need these things:


Then I punched out a million of this honeycomb shape out of cute paper that matched my side table and started decoupaging:


After I finished decoupaging I let my side table dry.  Then I grabbed these supplies:


Then I just put on a thin coat of polyurethane and let it dry and voila!  A super cute durable honeycomb decoupaged table!  Here is a close up:

What do you think?  It was a pretty fast project because I had already painted it :)  I love how it turned out! I kind of want to steal it back from my sister. What do you think?
