Baby Banner Owl Style

As promised here is the banner that I made for my cousin's baby shower.  I think that the owls are pretty cute for the little guy that will hopefully be here in a month!  Here are some close ups:

Happy You Card

Happy Friday to everyone!  I am super excited for tonight!  I'm heading up to Idaho to run my half marathon tomorrow.  Wish me luck!  Ok, onto the card that I made.  This card is actually a congrats card that I am giving to three of my friends. We just made it through a major service of love and I wanted them to know how much I appreciate them.  I also have a gift for them that I will show you on Sunday so stay tuned!  Here's a close up of this card:

Happy Bootday Card

I love this stamp set!  Do you remember my rain boot card?  Well, this is another cute stamp from the Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set.  I love this little pun... I'm such a sucker for those.  I like this card because it could be for a guy or a girl.  I'm sure that you all know this about me by now, but I love versatility!  My family makes fun of me for my crafting addiction, but who do they always come to when they need a card?  That's right me!  Here's a close up of my card:

Baby Shower Table Scape

Here is the unveiling of my baby shower table scape... well, I guess really that it's not mine... ok correction this was for my cousin's baby shower.  If you are interested I have a tutorial on how to make these darling Pinwheels and I have another post dedicated to this super easy Garland.  Just FYI.  This Friday I will show you this darling baby banner that I made, so hold strong.

I'm kind of proud of my first tabe scape.  Not too shabby if I do say so myself.  

Pinwheel Tutorial

Happy Sunday!  Yesterday was my cousin Andrea's baby shower.  Do you think that I could allow us to have a boring treat table?  So, I came up with this fun little centerpiece.  Here's a close up:

Andrea is having a boy, so I decided to use Pool Party and Summer Starfruit... fun and still boyish.

Ok, I'm sure that you are ready for the tutorial now... so here goes:

To begin cut a square out of card stock.  I chose to layer mine, to make it a little more interesting.  I just cut the square a 1/4" shorter for the inner square.  Then I drew an x on the paper lightly in pencil. Then I snipped until about a 1/2" before you hit the middle.  Do this on all 4 lines.

Then you take one corner and pull it to the center.  Repeat 4 times.  Then you will use a paper piercing tool and then put a brad through the middle.  Then voila, you have a cute pinwheel!

Stay tuned for next Saturday and you can see the finished table scape.  Do you remember my easiest garland ever?  Well, that plays a part in this table scape too. (I think that it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself)

You Are Loved Banner

I am really excited about this banner, but I'm sad that one of my dear friends at work is leaving.  I made this for her this week.  Ellen, know that you are really loved and that you will be missed!  Ok, sad moment over... I decided to use Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit to make this fun little banner.  Here are some close ups:

Can you see the stripes and polkadots?  I used some awesome Embossing Folders to add some fun texture.

Bootiful Occasions Rain Boot Card

Rain boots anyone? I love this new stamp set!  Wouldn't this be such a fun card to cheer someone special up?!  All of the ladies who came to my card class made this... kind of fun huh?  Here's a close up:

Card Class Awesomeness!

This is a picture of all of the awesome ladies that attended my card class last night!  I certainly had a blast.  There are few things that are better than sitting down and just being together and laughing and creating all at the same time!  I'm now going to show you a few of the projects that these ladies made.  They are so creative!  I bring out all of my stamp sets and they are welcome to create the card just like I did, or they can change things up a bit.  Here are a few of my favorites:

New Blog Design

Hello everyone!  I am super excited to show you what you probably already have seen... I have a new blog design!  It isn't quite finished, so thanks for your patience as I try and rebuild and change around a few things.  My friend Elizabeth is helping me do this redesign.  She's awesome huh!  I hope that you all like the changes as well.  I would love to know what you think!  I loved my owls a lot, but I feel like this look has a happier look to it.

This is a picture of me and Elizabeth.  Hopefully she won't be too mad about this post... she's pretty modest about how awesome she is, but I would rather do it and ask her forgiveness later!  Does anyone else live by that philosophy as well?  Anyway be sure to check back here tomorrow for a new project!

Easiest Garland Ever!

Can you see my garland?  I know that the garland is hard to see, but I'll show you some more in a minute.  This garland is for my cousin's baby shower this weekend.  Stay tuned for next Sunday and I'll show you the table decorations that I'm making to match.  

To make this garland all you need is your handy dandy 1" Circle Punch.  And then I took some fishing line and I hot glued two circles of the same color and viola!  Almost instant banner.  Here's a close up:

DIY Monogram Journal

I am so excited about this journal!  I just made this for my sister Amy... hence the A on it.  I know that you probably have already guessed my love for monogram stuff, but there is so much that you can do with this stamp set!  It is so versatile!  Here's a close up:

I did use decoupage to make the base a little more durable... just in case you were wondering.  I wish that pictures did this justice!  My sister was super excited about it!  Here's one more view of the journal:

Simple Birthday Banner Card

I forgot a good friend's birthday yesterday!  Oooops!  I felt horrible, so I made this card for her last night.  It is super simple, but I really like it.  I think that it is a fun way to use our Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper... and let's be honest who doesn't like banners?  I hope that my friend likes my card!

Simple Ice Cream Cone Card

Today I thought that I would share this super simple birthday card.  I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to make the ice cream.  I love it when you can use punches for so many different things!  Here's a close up of the ice cream cone:

DIY Father's Day Card

Father's Day is coming up!  I knew that I needed to make a card to celebrate the men in our lives.  This card is going to be for my Papa.  Luckily for me I don't think that he's super into paper crafting, so I feel safe sharing this card before Father's Day.
